Kind of redundant now considering where the other bill went, but you see I was requested this by a constituent and when I am asked to introduce a bill, I always see the job through. Tongue

I wholeheartedly endorse the passage of this legislation.  I feel this is definitely something for the regions to legislate on.

Tabling a bill implies there is nothing to debate and that removing the bill from the floor would somehow serve The People. There is a lot to debate on this issue, and I think it's a real travesty that some senators would prevent this bill from at least going through the trials of a fair process. What an unfortunate signal to send to the regions.

Just because I don't belong to the trademarked club doesn't mean I can't operate with their best interests at heart. Smiley

Nay, nay, nay. This is a debate worth having, although I assume the chances of passage are slim. This isn't some frivolous fluff that we should just dismiss out of hand.

I would have voted nay if I had managed to get on yesterday but a "health problem" preoccupied me. And no, I wasn't drinking on New Years. Tongue

Vote on the Motion to Table the Legalization of Offline-Gambling Act:

Aye (4): Franzl, JulioMadrid, Marokai Blue and Simfan34
Nay (4): Averroës Nix, Ben, HagridOfTheDeep, and Oakvale
Abstain (0):

Didn't Vote (2): NC Yankee and Snowstalker

With 2/3rds having not voted in the affirmative, the motion to table has not been adopted.
