The better question is

WHY?

This blast from the past would be laughed off the stage.

That'd why I'd love to see it.

Fritz Hollings is still alive!?!

Let's cut out the substitutes- GHWB for the second term! However I'm still partial to having his Sec. of State run.

Sarah Palin would have a better shot than Dan "Potatoe" Quayle.

I was worried this was being posted seriously. And I say that as a Quayle fan, too. Tongue

It's pretty clear that whoever the Democrats nominate in 2016 will need to be able to strongly contest Florida, if not give the Dems the edge. Therefore, the answer is Askew/Barnes '16.

Probably Clint Eastwood or Eva Longoria (she's already age-eligible I think).

Sure. He's unfairly beat up on. I can't see what would make him horrible.

As much experience in the Congress as Jack Kennedy did when he sought the presidency.

And as much intelligence as Jack Kennedy after he "left" Presidency.

My personal rule: I don't think I'm mentally capable of handling the rigors of the presidency, so I try with all my might to avoid voting for anyone who I'm smarter than.

Dan Quayle, bless his heart, fails that test.

Mr. Kennedy's intelligence after he "left" the Presidency was at least very wide, being spreaded across Dallas.
