Those are very good numbers for Christie, though I think his are more artificial than Hillary's. Christie is probably the Republican's best nominee in 2016, but I very much doubt that the base will allow him to become to the nominee. Assuming at least an adequate environment, Hillary looks to be the favorite unless Republicans get smart with their nominee.

I remember Obama v. McCain polls from 2006 showing McCain winning all states except IL, HI and DC.

Obama was a freshly elected Senator at that point.

It doesn't matter. Given ultimate outcome it only proves my point such early polls are meaningless.

Obama's name rec was very low in 2006. A huge chunk of people had never heard of him.

Obviously.  After all, her last name is Clinton.  But trust me, she's not going to run.

Republicans should take note, all it takes to be popular is to embrace Obama and repudiate House Republicans.

Well, she was leading all the GOPers until around Nov 2015, funny how people want forget that fact and simply remember a snapshot in time from hypo polls in Feb 2016, but then simultaneously ignore Bernie's contemporary polling showing him beating all the republicans at the same time.

By the way, even Republicans believed she was unbeatable:
