In 12 swing states:

53% Hillary Clinton
36% Paul Ryan

Why would they chose Paul Ryan? He won't be the 2016 nominee.

Why would they chose Paul Ryan? He won't be the 2016 nominee.

Because he was just on a national ticket and therefore has solid name recognition ?

Other GOP candidate besides maybe Christie, Santorum or Huckabee wouldn't make much sense.

IIRC these "swing states" include NM & MI, which aren't swing states. At any rate, meh, Hillarymania.

I would say Bush, Christie, and Rubio all have a better shot at winning the nomination.

He ran a limp campaign for Vice-President and lost his own state.

For good reason the House of Representatives is at best the ante-penultimate stop before the Presidency. As a rule the Senate, a Governorship, or a Cabinet post is in between the House and the White House.

I am usually tempted to show a map, but not here. Ryan would lose every one of the twelve purple states.
