For a long time it has been accepted as gospel on here that McDaniel was a proverbial god on earth who would just walz into what ever he ran for. Was that mistaken?

Without the scandal, probably so.

Though, as I was telling RogueBeaver, I'm amazed that Beebe's popularity doesn't seem to be helping Democrats here as much as I thought it would.

What scandal? It is the first I have heard about it?
