I would like to see Levin retire he has been around long enough (elected in 1978), give someone else a chance (Gary Peters). But if your a democrat you probably want him to run again so that Gary Peters, the democrats best candidate for either office, can run for governor and should beat Snyder or win the open seat if Snyder doesn't run. The Democrats don't have a good second candidate, their bench is weak, but so is the Republican one. He is easily the best and only good candidate the Democrats have everyone else is way too old or unknown. I think the Democrats have a better chance at holding the Senate seat with a weak candidate than the governorship. I don't see the Republicans winning the senate seat unless it's a strong Republican year, even if a strong republican like Mike Rogers, the best Republican candidate, runs.
