I'm guessing he did this to get attention and inspire the himself and even the team to play better.  It's almost as bad as Lance Armstrong's problem.

I saw the woman who's pictures were being used as "Lennay Kekua" on Today show this morning. She was hot, and she needs to hook up with Te'o to put this into irrelevance.
