I hear Vermont makes some great maple syrup. That aside, I'll vote for New Hampshire.

Vermont.

The hippie socialists are more appealing than the tax-avoiders that move across the border from Massachusetts.

Ben and Jerry's would have justified Vermont even if I didn't consider everything else.

Vermont.  I went to Washington, Montpelier, Chelsea, and Burlington VT on a mission trip 10 years ago during Spring Break.  I have great fondness of Vermont, especially the Christians that live up there.  The Christians that live in Vermont are some of the most dedicated and devoted people I've ever met in a culture seemingly dominated by witchcraft.

Vermont. The only primary difference seems to be politics, and Vermont easily wins on that aspect.

Some consistency would be nice. Tongue

New Hampshire, as it is closer to a proper city.

Two of the greatest states in America (aside from Michigan, of course!)  I dearly love Vermont's politics and voting patterns up until the 60s or so (William Meyer notwithstanding), and to a lesser extent, until the early 90s.  Plus, Robert Stafford was one of the greatest Republican Senators of all time (at least from New England).  That being said, I love New Hampshire much more as a whole, and Portsmouth helped produce Ilene Woods, so I vote New Hampshire.  Live free or die!

See, people who come here actually get it, we aren't witches after all.

Vermont voted for the Republican 27 consecutive times from 1856 (the first Republican) until 1964 in Presidential elections! After 1964 we voted for the GOP every election until 1992 which brought the total to 33 out of 34. That's more than even Arkansas with 23 straight for the Democrats. But for me definitely Vermont as a state, but New Hampshire is a great state too, and I definitely agree with them more politically.
