A weaker Democrat would continue to lose support, and thus Cutler could come out stronger and possibly win. Until the very end, Cutler was barely in the double digits, so he can turn this around again.

However, if he doesn't run, I'd like a return of Governor Baldacci.

Speaking as a Sandlapper, let me say that it would nice to have a boring governor for a change.

I hope LePage can pull it out!  We need some Republicans to win statewide in New England!

Hopefully this doesn't end up with another 4 way brawl with Governor LePage holding on by the skin of his teeth again. As a Democrat, I really don't care if it's Michaud, Baldacci, or Cutler, but only 1 needs to run so that the votes aren't split and so that the Christie ripoff doesn't get re-elected.

I agree that settling for an Independent is better than giving LePage a new term because the Dem and Ind split the Anti-LePage vote.

We need to do something to get rid of these pesky Maine independents.

Given your record, I'm not sure I want to know your solution.

Anyway, anyone would be an improvement over LePage at this stage, but I'm hoping for Cutler.

Those LePage/Cutler/Baldacci numbers, in particular, are very encouraging (as that's probably the likeliest matchup and LePage is up high single digits). I find it a little awesome this race is clearly Leans R.

The fact that you're cheering LePage on is disgusting.
