I actually think clarence would be a competent moderator. Not endorsing making him one, but I would have confidence in him.

There is no rule on this forum (at least not yet) that you have to like My Little Pony. Making fun of a TV show is not in my view an infarctable offense quite possibly anywhere on the internet.

On AlternateHistory.com, Lief, Torie, or Beet analgoues have been banned over conflicts relating to the show.

This message is almost as vague as the rest of your contributions.

I walked from 114th Street in Manhattan, to Battery Park, and then to Brooklyn in the middle of last night. That's over 12 miles.

That's impressive.  I've walked from 119th to Battery Park.  I've also hiked the Inca Trail from Sacsayhuaman to Machu Picchu, over four days carrying a 72-liter Jansport backpack with 60 pounds of stuff in it.  Fortunately the supply of coca in the Andes is long.  And cheap.

Impressive- reminds me of the old "death marches" we would do in Scouts- 15 miles over mountainous terrain. I remember my first hike. Didn't bring a day pack, so brought the entire one and was just dying. Someone else had to carry it. I can't help but flatter myself with the fact that what the troop would accomplish, maybe, in 8 hours, I now did in four. Yet again, Manhattan is pretty flat. But it was very very cold. And I feel ready to cough up blood or vomit with the next coughing fit- legs are aching. Am I out of shape! Reminds me of why I felt the need to take a walk in the first place- which kind of defeats the point.

But Peru? When was this? How long?
