Surprising numbers for Christie there; the base is probably abandoning him. Are there any recent national Republican polls?

The only one we have is PPP's national poll from 3 weeks ago:

Certainly nothing surprising about Christie underperforming his national numbers by a bit in Iowa.

Christie is a poor fit for Iowa, he'll do better in N.H.

IA could become a classic GOP fight for the conservative darling and maybe Christie will just skip it ala McCain. And getting to my other post, if Rubio, Paul and Ryan all vote for immigration reform, it will create an opening for Santorum (or other entry) to go after them for 'amnesty'.  Much of the base isn't sold on the 'lets be nice the the latinos' national party message.

It'll be interesting if Hillary and Biden bow out. Otherwise...
