To be honest, I took it and it was rather boring.  It was easily his least popular class.

I just got a call from the doctor and I have an appointment with him already scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 at 4:00 pm, but the scheduler called me this morning and said the doctor wants me to come in for fasting labs Monday, March 11 at 9:10 am.  He had wanted to do these labs back at the end of September last year, but since I was in Utah that got pushed to the side, so we are doing them now.  I'm not sure, but this may push back my actual appointment from Wednesday to either Friday or the next Monday.  We'll have to see.

Although the phenomenon is now finally over, I never understood the conservative rural Democrat thing. White people in Southern cities figured out they were Republicans 50 years ago. What took the rurals so long?

It is quite believable.  I wear a 38 and I only weigh about 185 or so.  I just have wide, womanly hips and a preferance for a very roomy, hanging from the hips fit.  I remember angus metnioning he has about  28 inch waist, and these Oklahomans in general wear their pants tight, cowboy style.  Bushie may have  small hips but overlaid by a  lot fat, while Torie may have been less fat, but with a wider bone structure.

This teacher would tell us that Abraham Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus and had more political prisoners than Hitler.

I don't think he is racist. He had some misguided opinions about things and certainly misled some students, but he was a good teacher. He would just sit on his desk and lecture. It was so much better than the standard Oklahoma teaching style of just having students read directly from awful textbooks.

He was a voracious reader and mentioned at least two or three books each class for those of us who were interested. (These weren't obscure books written by insane people. They were actually pretty decent history books.) He always tried to push kids towards reading and questioning everything they learned. He was a very popular teacher and inspired a lot of kids to study history on their own. I don't know if anyone else ever agreed with him on Lincoln, though.

Thank you for explaining it better than I could.  I don't think anybody agreed with him to the same level on Lincoln, but certainly there are some who do not like Lincoln because of this teacher.  American textbooks bow down and worship Lincoln, he certainly doesn't.

Indeed, I am Size 40.  Thing is my weight is all in my belly.  My waist is only slightly larger than normal.  I can take a picture of my jean size and post it on here if that would make a difference.
