I will vote against damaging Coolidge, Harding, Norris, La Follette, or Johnson by them being on the ticket with Wood.

So the leading candidates right now are Calvin Coolidge and Leonard Wood? Ugh. Terrible choices. Hopefully Debs finally wins.

And I am stating right now for the benefit of all you Socialist hacks that your shenanigans have stopped me from even considering voting for Debs in the general. Even if it ends up being between Wood and McAdoo, I will flip a coin if I have to.

I voted for LaFollette. And it was hardly just socialists being hacks:

McAdoo to make the Democrats look bad.

Seriously, that's a stupid reason to choose who to vote for.

In fact, if Wood wins the nomination, I'm leading a Convention walkout in favor of Coolidge (who leads among "real" Republicans) and nominating Mayor Ole Hanson of Seattle as VP.

Won't that make it easier for a dedicated group of saboteurs to wreck the primary? Closed primaries, before we're stuck running Huey Long against Douglas McArthur or some sh**t...

It'll probably go to the run-off with Coolidge and Wood.

If the few idiots hadn't acted the way they did, we'd have an even better candidate, so yes.

Only a few people are doing this. I'm planning to vote for Debs, but I voted for LaFollette and Marshall in their respective parties' conventions. And I think most Debs supporters are voting like me.

Don't let a few trolls have an impact on your vote.

Don't look at me, I voted for La Follette. I've only been pushing for Wood because I didn't like any of the other choices, and since they were winning, I decided to throw myself behind Debs. So...Progressive Era voting reforms! Yay!

But seriously, a concealed-results primary system would fix this mess.

People are taking this way too seriously, also I am confused as to when we have runoffs and when we don't. This election looks just like the last one. Why don't we have have a runoff know? Just curious.

Also, why are there so many candidates? Don't we have a system for filtering them or did they all get a significant amount of delegates IRL?

how?   a concealed results primary wouldn't keep the opposition from supporting an unacceptable nominee.

I've found that the opposition tends to go for moderate to progressive nominees if they don't see the results. If they do they rally around the most popular wacko they can find and push him up.
