This is a national poll?  So either this poll is junk, or PPP has a huge Republican bias?

It looks like this is a national poll, yes.

But among their poll questions (which is of registered voters), it says that the respondents voted for Obama over Romney by 51-42.

So, the Clinton vs. GOP numbers are much better than that.

Maybe there is a difference between robo-polls (PPP) and telephone polls when it comes to Hillary.

Or the numbers are made to look good for her because the polling institute is a "Clinton" one.

Junk poll. PPP is the gold standard.

(I'll just wait for people to bite back. People who disagree with statistics and facts.)

But among their poll questions (which is of registered voters), it says that the respondents voted for Obama over Romney by 51-42.

This correctly states the percentage that voted for Obama but undercounts the percentage that voted for Mitt Romney. Apparently more people are forgetting that they voted for Mitt Romney. This pattern holds for other pollsters.

PPP may be run by a Democrat, but it seems to have a slight R lean in results. But it has shown Hillary Clinton winning such states as Kentucky and Texas, which is consistent with about a 2:1 national divide. Is 2:1 unrealistic? Of course. The biggest blowout of one of the two main-party candidates has been roughly 61-37. Could any Republican nominee for an open Presidency be voted down as badly as Alf Landon? I think not.

Christie looked good for standing up to the GOP on an immediate concern of his state. Mario Rubio has won much hype for having a Spanish surname. For obvious reasons Jeb Bush suggests a return to the bad old days of George W. Bush.

Bill Clinton will not have been President for 16 years.

Bill Clinton hasn't been President for 16 years.

I didn't realize that it was already 2016!

It'll be interesting how this lead holds by the time we actually get to 2016.

These leads will never hold.

Once Hillary jumps in and she's running for something, instead of being a Foreign Minister that nobody cares about, her leads against the top-GOPers will drop dramatically. Also, because name recognition for the others is rising (this is true only if Rubio/Christie remain somewhat popular). Within 1 month after jumping in, her leads should drop to 0-10%.

If the poll is junk, then it doesn't make any sense to talk about "the lead holding".

A win like that would be a dream come true. I'd love to believe something like this, but I do still live a reality-based world. I'd be more than happy to take a regular landslide, thank you very much. Smiley

Libertarians are bad enough with their beliefs. Now they have to take up the cause of bumping polls from two years ago for no reason?
