Still doesn't compare to the hardware we're giving to Egypt.

Calling Iran an agressor, while we go around arming the dictators of that region and murder so many innocent people there, is kinda ridiculous, no?

Please forgive me for if I came off as a prick. You're in the category of poster who I least want to be mean to. Smiley

I want to fix our nation's foreign policy, which has been more atrocious than theirs.

(I was going to pm you this, but I'm just going to drop it here)

I enjoy being challenged by people I like and respect.  I'm always open to having my mind changed and someone like you would have a lot better chance at it than say, cory.

I still think Iran does much more damage to peace and security than the US.  Sure, the US probably does more bad things taken all together, but we do a ton of good stuff too that, in my opinion at least, way out weighs the bad.  Iran doesn't do much, but what they do is almost always a negative.

But my main point is that Iran is in fact an aggressor.  Every time the issue comes up for actual discussion, the anti-Zionists always claim that Israel is the aggressor and Iran is just a peaceful, fun loving govt, trying to get on in this hard world surrounded by people that hate them.  Iran has supported a ton of terrorism in the last year (and over the previous years), have gotten caught repeatedly, but nobody seems to notice.

edit-changed the name of the poster refrenced in the first paragraph

You know, the issue with some anti-Zionists is the same than with the anti-science people.
They don't care about facts. They have one ideology and their worldview is made to fit with it.

Anti-Zionists are hating Jews and/or Isreal, so, for sure, if there is issues in that part of the world, it's the Jews/Israel fault, as they are terrible people. Don't even bother to show them facts, they won't care or say they were fabricated by the Zionist media/government/allies.

For full disclosure and record, I dislike Israel, Palestine and Iran, for all different reasons.

Iran would still be Iran even without Israel.  However, it wouldn't matter to us without our interests in Israel and oil.  Without oil, Iran would be no problem in the first place, and the same is true for a lot of other crappy countries.  While we need to treat the symptoms, trying to get to a post-petroleum economy should be a national defense priority.

Agreed 100%.  Being friends with S.Arabia (and pals) is an embarassment to the west...or at least should be.

Has anyone serious claimed otherwise (that Iran is not involved in stuff like this?)?
