I'm pretty sure the British are even happier than you.

I hate the weird mixture of condiments Burger King puts on their burgers, it tastes disgusting to me. Which is a shame, because I prefer whatever they put in the "beef" patties to McDonalds and the like.

50% horsemeat, 50% turkey excrement. As opposed to 10% beef, 90% turkey excrement at McD's.
That's what it tastes like, anyhow.

You could probably replace Mail with Express, Telegraph and Star.

The only good chips are chips from chip shops, like so:

Fact.

As far as I know, there's nothing worse about horse meat, so I really don't think there is much reason for such a huge fuss. If I found out I was getting horse meat I wouldn't be bothered.

It's all highly illegal for obvious reasons, though responsibility in the food chain (har, har, har) seems to be so diffuse, that I guess we shouldn't expect much in the way of corporate collar feeling.

I read this article last week:

The article mentions that tenderloin actually sells for $95 per kg.

Anyway, I found it interesting that in the UK, the scandal is that it's obviously being used as a cheap substitute, whereas here the story is that it's done quietly to avoid backlash, but that it seems to be popular with diners.

I never understood why people find eating certain meats shocking or terrible. Horse, dog, whatever. It's just meat. I would eagerly try horse and judging from the article above, I may just find a place.

The huge fuss is this proves we could be eating literally anything.

The issue is than horse was sold branded as beef (which is more expensive than horse).

Got to feel sorry for the Romanians in this - for years to come "quality Romanian beef" is going to be a euphemism for horsemeat.
