To be fair, the margins are somewhat exaggerated, as the poll was of seven people. Coolidge leads 4 to 3.

As in a Republican and a Democrat or this Overman/Palmer thing that's being bandied about?

In honor of the Clanbake, this ought to take more than two days.

Clanbake? Is this some weird pro-weed festival hosted by liberal members of the KKK?

The 1924 DNC received the nickname of "Klanbake" because it was a long drawn out affair that lasted over two weeks and more than 100 ballots as the delegates baked in summer and the participation of Klansmen as delegates was a contentious issue, as was an anti-Klan platform plank that was introduced by Forney Johnston of Alabama, but defeated.  Incidentally, McAdoo was the Klan kanidate.

The Klandidate, if you will. And the KKK pretty much died during Reconstruction, back when Fenton signed the Enforcement Acts.

In Socialist Debsian America, I think the KKK would be even stronger than in real life.

Prefer Davis, though I voted Coolidge since I suspect he is more electable.

But this is Atlamerica/Atleftica, where the KKK is exactly what we say it is.

Dawgs... The result is pretty much already determined. Y'all want me to continue this til it closes officially, or are we gonna say this is done so we can get on with our lives?

I mean like as in times where one party decided to endorse another party's candidate in order to put up a united opposition against the party in power.

As tempting as that may be, I fear I would be too active in my role as this thing's manager if I were to lop together a two-party ticket.

Hm...Could these results be used as a polling benchmark for the general election, I wonder?

I think you should run a national poll concurrently with 1924 election asking voters whether they want a unified anti-socialist ticket in the future for 1928(against Norman Thomas or Debs VP)

No, if anything get rid of the Socialists altogether.  They have wrecked the economy, elected T.R., kept Underwood out of the white house and generally made the timeline a less fun experience.  Their tactics have been awful and it has turned Debs into Nixon, ethically speaking.  Sad to see the once great man brought so low

Unfortunately, I think it's too late for that. One has been elected President, and we can't go back and retcon it. It would make no sense for the Socialists to simply stop being a viable political force in Atleftica. Hopefully some of this fanaticism will die along with Debs.

You guys are ridiculous. You're making such a fuss about one or two people voting tactically.

At the very least, it changed the results of the 1916 Republican Primary, which by extension, changed the result of the general.

Don't be silly, Debs would have won anyway. Did you see his margin of victory?
