Should be a hold with Whitmer.

Safe D either way. Pubs can decoy, though I'd prefer someone who won't have to give up their current office to do that. Aka neither Miller nor Amash.

RB, I value your analysis but I swear if I see you've called another race a 'decoy' I'll force you to watch a 105 minute movie about how bullying is wrong like the school did to the student body this morning.

Michigan is a lean D state. With a good candidate in a good year, or if Democrats nominate a uniquely bad candidate, it is perfectly winnable for the GOP. At the same time, it's probably a hold, because it's a lean D state and Republicans have better targets. (If Levin runs again, yes, of course it is safe). But by no means is it safe D (though I encourage national Democratic leadership to think so, of course!).

Im wondering how Brian Calley would do if he ran, though I'm sure the stench of Snyder can't be too good for him.

She's not running for Governor because she has young children (really really wish she changed her mind) so she's clearly won't be running for U.S. Senate.
