Like I previously said, I'm for it but I would prefer if we add a control clause, someting like an exam. Something that we should think later is to give money for those schools that improoved more in the national exams...

Establish the amendment and I'll put it up. Smiley

I was thinking to change it for every C and up to have funding established but you may be thinking something different which I would love to hear and have it enhance the bill.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, this bill establishes funding for after-school activities, correct?

Yeah, also establishes honor classes for high school children and even give them a shot for college credit early.

Just stupid and could bankrupt the already struggling region.

For high school students they can use these programs as honor classes and be eligible to receive college credit.

This is silly, so pretty much they show up to these classes muck about and get rewarded?

I mean yes to after school programs, but no for rewarding a person for going to a program, the program itself is the reward.

The Get Your Kids Involved In School Act

The Government of the Pacific Region hereby declares,

1.   There will be an establishment of Science, Math, English and History courses in partnership with regional colleges and universities that will enable students taking these courses to earn college credit.

2.   For every percentage of the total student population involved in at least one of these courses the school will receive a 1% bonus of funding.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Would you accept this as an alternative, NVGonzalez?

I could go with that. Though of course Superique did indeed bring up that there needs to be a measure to make sure that the program succeeds. I was thinking that at least the 1% fund bonus should be changed for every student percentage involved having at least a B-

Can we just say the amendment passed with inanity, since only one person voted?

Passed with inanity!
