yes.  a few months ago i had a (super) erupted decayed wisdom tooth pulled.  i only had one wisdom tooth come in.  the other 3, if there are indeed 3, are impacted.  dentist said not to worry about it at my age (35).

I had six removed. Four wisdom teeth and two extra teeth.

Yeah, had two removed as a teen on either side so there was room for my brace to push the rest of my teeth.

Yeah, when I was a kid a few of my baby teeth stayed along for the ride after the adults came in so I had to get them taken out.

My wisdom teeth came in fine, though.

About a month ago I had a root canal to save a tooth, which would've needed to have been extracted otherwise. But because of that, no, none except wisdom teeth.

Yes. I had to have some teeth removed when I was 3-4. I also had to have a couple of capped baby teeth removed when I was about 12 or so (prior to getting braces). I still have all of my adult teeth and I'd like to keep it that way. Smiley

I had to have a couple of baby teeth pulled 'cause they wouldn't leave my mouth on their own.  I had my four wisdom teeth pulled the day before my first kid was born all going on in the middle of tech school, that was a sh**tty several days.

Wow, that vote is a little surprising. You guys have my sympathy, because I understand dental work is tedious and a real pain in more way than one. Thankfully, I never needed any dental work beyond cavity filling, and that was more than enough time with the D.D.S.

Need to get my wisdom teeth yanked out but I'm in no hurry to spend a lot of money for what is certain to be an unpleasant inexperience.

I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled soon. And I have to get my jaw broken and wired shut sometime in my life to fix an underbite. Until then, I will be getting veneers.

I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 17.  They hadn't yet broken the surface.  The oral surgeon figured I had enough room for the bottom ones, which were coming in straight.. but there was no room for the top ones.

Remember, it's not like our mouths suddenly got smaller in the past 200 years... but wisdom teeth were "extras" for a time when losing teeth during adolescence was common, which freed up room for the wisdom teeth to move in.

But natural selection is already taking place and 1/3 of humans are born without wisdom teeth today, and that number is growing.  Nearly all Native American Mexicans, for example, are born without wisdom teeth.  Australian aborigines on the other hand, almost always have them.  In the rest, again, it's about 1/4 to 1/3 that don't ever get them.

As of today, yes. I'm at the part now where I can't feel the anesthetic anymore but can feel where the injection was made. Sad

But here's the best part: I kind of did it for Ingress. After a brief toothache yesterday I decided the (misaligned and decaying) tooth had to go before May 10 and the Madison event to avoid any issues.
