By this, I mean, will we ever see a black Republican get elected to some office who is fiscally conservative but not a Ryan-DeMint-Cruz extremist, who is fairly socially tolerant but not openly defiant of his party on those issues, who more or less goes about his business quietly without serving as a diversity mascot for his party and basically saying "I'm black! I'm conservative! I built it! Didn't need no government handouts! Deal with it! America!" In other words, someone not unlike former congressman Gary Franks of Connecticut? (Or basically like a black version of someone like Lamar Alexander or Kay Bailey Hutchison?)
