Free Agency, I agree with you there DeadMan!

On paper, my gracious, Seattle vs. San Francisco could be a great rivalry (it would be nice to see the NFC West rise again), at least in the short term, and it's interesting how Baltimore has basically dismantled their team from either age or free agency. I would also like to see Miami return to former glory. The Ravens, though, are falling into the trap that it's all about the QB. It is not. It is all about everyone around the QB.

The draft and training camp can't get here soon enough!

The pope stuff? An old guy who is a staunch, arch conservative is selected to lead what is essentially a Medieval society. Okay, great! I didn't expect any different.

Not a follower of sports, and I'm Catholic, so yeah.

Not a clue, since I love football but don't know what this is about.  Plus, I was watching the news on the new pope from the beginning (and not because of the antichrist/Sunday law stuff.)

From the study I've been doing on the End Times, I easily choose the Papal Conclave.  Though, I'm trying to figure out if anyone in Dallas has a brain and trying to calculate how many years before we win our 6th ring.  Problem is, I can't count that high. Sad

The NFL is a false usurper merely warming the seat for the once and future king of American sports: baseball. FOOTBALL
Lets be honest here. No one watches Baseball as much as they used to. Viewership is tanking. More people watch football than baseball, and its way more exciting.

Judging baseball by nationwide viewership rates is missing the point. Baseball is a local sport; people watch their teams. Attendance at baseball games is higher than ever, as are local television ratings.

Hockey is the same way....at least ESPN still talks about baseball.  Hockey gets about 3 minutes of every Sportscenter and 0 minutes on all the other shows combined.  An unimportant golf tournament that hasn't even started yet is more important to Mike and Mike than last night's NHL scores.  I understand that nobody south of the Mason Dixon or west of St.Louis (save Denver and the handfull of transplants in SoCal) cares about hockey at all, but it's a big deal in the midwest and northeast.  Especially around the cities with clubs.

NFL free agency by quite a wide margin.

The pope stuff, but I can't get into the NFL.  Obviously college football offseason trumps the pope story.
