Speaking of the Eagles, it looks like the 49ers are going to sign Nnamdi Asomugha. I would have been thrilled by this two years ago.

Judging baseball by nationwide viewership rates is missing the point. Baseball is a local sport; people watch their teams. Attendance at baseball games is higher than ever, as are local television ratings.
