Ah, but that only helps her. Being pro-Carter but then switching to pro-Reagan gives her a story about how she was personally changed by Ronald Reagan. The base loves that.

Speaking of Reagan, he was once a Democrat, but switched to the Reps because the Dems changed their base...

Ironically, Barry Goldwater, the founder of the modern conservative movement in the US, would be considered a RINO by many conservatives and Republicans today because of his libertarian views.  If Reagan were running for president in 2012 (instead of 1980) based on his record as Governor of California, he would probably be labeled a RINO too.  I honestly think the RINO/squish business is just plain stupid, and I say this as a conservative.  The GOP should have plenty of room for people of different viewpoints, as long as they believe in our party's fundamentals, and we should celebrate the accomplishments of our party's past leaders, regardless of whether or not we agree with everything they stood for.

At this point, anyone to the left of Benito Mussolini will be called a RINO by elements of the Republican base.

Michele Bachmann was a Pro-Life Carter Democrat back in the 70s. No chance.

Gohmert or King may be the only two men with true purity rings.

Are you kidding? Gohmert supports caribou having sex! That's just one step away from supporting caribou marriage! Would a real conservative support violating the sanctity of marriage by letting caribou get married? I don't think so!

But the term "WASP" isn't racist or elitist and condescending. Ha.
Ad hominem tu quoque. My prime argument's still left without a rebuttal.

But let's dissect this further. WASP is a term describing what a name is. White. Of Anglo-Saxon descent. Protestant. I used the term WASP to describe your average white name (like John Smith or Joseph Biden), which is what white Protestants of Anglo-Saxon descent are. If I said "Most birthers are WASPs" or I called you a WASP, then you can jump down my throat. But the fact that I'm describing something which has no feelings to feel offended with really has some stuff over nothing.

But yeah, people that aren't RINOs:
  • Louie Gohmert
  • Steve King
  • Todd Akin
  • Paul Broun
  • Ted Cruz
  • Jim Inhofe
  • Michele Bachmann (bar the Carter stuff, she's over that)
  • Allen West
  • Rand Paul
  • Steve Stockman
  • Justin Amash
  • Any Republican that didn't vote for Boehner

'Biden' is in this case neither AS nor P, although it's certainly not a standard Irish Catholic last name either. Actually, is it Anglo-Irish in origin?

According to this, Biden is quite AS. P, not so much. But it definitely is an Anglo-Saxon name.

Interesting! I didn't know that. Joe's branch must be among those that moved to Ireland some centuries ago.

Paul? Amash? They're largely anti-war, and they probably oppose the drug war and other things that True Conservatives love.

I do believe the Republican Party has been taken over by left wing liberals. Ted Cruz is a great conservative with a strong background.

The others are acceptable to me on 85% of issues. Ted Cruz, so far, 100%.

Ted Cruz isn't born in the US, through.

Constitutionally, he's still natural born because his mother was American born and thus he inherited citizenship upon birth.

Unlike the current occupant of the White House, there is no controversy surrounding his place of birth.
1. Obama was born in Hawaii.
2. You're an idiot.
3. I'm sorry, but I need to repeat #2: YOU'RE AN IDIOT
4. You're an Idiot
5. Even if Obama was born in Kenya, the same argument for Ted Cruz works for him. His mother was a natural-born citizen, so that makes him a citizen of the US.

Roll Eyes

Please...

Obama's mother was a communist. Communism is anti-american, henceforth she was not really American. Therefore, Obama was Kenyan-Unamerican at birth.

You clearly need to have your brain checked, then.

By 2017, each and every Republican on the face of the Earth will be considered too liberal for the party.

If none of these do as conservative enough, then I think Pat Fagan would do the trick.
