Chafee has his re-election web site up... McConnell did a fundraiser for him.

Losing Linc would be a terrible day for my Party and the nation.  Democrats are such scum.  Why can't you "people" make yourselves useful and start attacking extremists instead.

Technically, yes, that would be a loss for the party.  Of one vote to be exact Tongue

And what happens if Chafee wants to make sure he wins re-election and becomes a Dem (I think that's what will happen)? Still a loss for our party?

Yes, I would.  Defecting to the enemy is a stupid thing to do.

What's funny is that then htmldon would think Chafee was a total idiot.

Yes, that is also stupid.

But at least he votes with us more than a Democrat would, and votes for our majority leader.

Unless Carceri decided that he wanted to run for Senate, Chafee is the only Republican who could win.  You should be happy to have a Republican representing a state that was Gore's #1 state and Kerry's #2.
