Oh man, I would drive 5 miles to get home if I didn't have any decent place to sleep. Hopefully she has a room for you or something.

I've got the sleeper sofa in the den.

The bad thing is I have to sleep in my jeans.  I didn't make the decision to stay over here until 6:00, and I didn't have any lounge pants.

Sleeping in pants is the worst. 5 miles isn't that far. I'd do it just for the freedom of sleeping in my undies!

That's nice, but backfires in a hot room when your skin is sticky...

I can't sleep when it's hot, so I normally keep the air on and even a fan sometimes.

I just found out some useless information.  Sometime in my 32nd year, which begins on my 31st birthday, I will have been alive for 1 billion seconds.  As of April 29, I am 22 million away and there are 31 million seconds in a year.

Well, I'm home. It's a good thing I stayed over at Grandma's last night as my parents' property flooded last night and now there is all sorts of debris in the yard. The trailer was untouched, thankfully. I am resting up and will get a shower here before too long. I'll probably watch Baseball at Noon before heading back over to Grandma's for dinner again. Tonight, we'll have 11 people at the dinner table. We're going to have a really late dinner, about 18:15, and I'll probably escape shortly afterwards. I'm really starting to get worn out...

You're not going to help them clean up the debris?  Yes, I can see why you're tired based upon the last week of hard work. Roll Eyes

We're not going to clean it up today, but I will help when we do.  The storm just occurred overnight and Dad's at work right now, and Mom and I still have family obligations tonight and tomorrow.  Saturday, I have a birthday party and then Mom, Dad, and I are going out for Mexican food.  Sunday, I have church in the morning and the evening, and then one more night of a family dinner on Monday.  We won't have a chance to clean it up for a little while.  I'm not going to get out there by myself, because I don't know where Dad wants to put everything.  I'm guessing the burn pile, but besides, the ground is too wet and muddy, still.

That's truly a disgusting and stunning response.  Time for a long hiatus.

IF he's telling the truth, and he doesn't know where the family wants stuff, I'm actually going to defend him here.  Nothing bugs me more than when someone in my family moves something of mine thinking it's trash or that I don't need it.

Lol. Just ask your parents where they want it? Just a thought... I wouldn't want to leave me place in a mess for a week because I had to go to dinner one night and church the next.

Maybe the next update thread could be subtitled 'Not waving, Drowning'? Just a suggestion.

bushie, i am not trying to be a wiseass, but what could you possibly be 'worn out' from?

the fact that you are worn out illustrates how bad of physical shape you are in.  you are an old before your time!

Wait, Bushie needs to rest after a long day of thinking about picking up debris from a storm?

Watching 18 hours of television a day can wear you out, apparently.

No, I am worn out from 15 straight days of continuously having to visit with family for most of that time.

Tell me something, wouldn't having to spend 15 straight days with company, at least 4-9 hours a day wear you out?

You might find this difficult to believe, but some people work 8 hours or more every day.

You might find this hard to believe, but I've done that before, and it's not quite as tiring as spending hours and days on end with family.  It depends on your line of work, though.  My dad would much rather work 60 hours a week than to have to spend hours with family for a month straight.

I'm with Mr. Brown. I'd rather work a lot than spend day after agonizing day with my crazy family. Not a matter of exhaustion though. More about maintaining sanity.
