Wait the guy's just turning 30, and he already has four kids? There's Oklahoma for you, sheesh...smh

He admittedly got his wife pregnant with the 1st child before they were married and before he became a Christian.  She became a Christian really early in life, as well.  However, he did things right, he married her before the first child was born.  They will be celebrating their 12th anniversary on Sunday, 28 April, meaning he was 18 and she was 17.  Their firstborn will be 12 on November 15.  She is from Oklahoma, but he is originally from Washington State.

Sheesh, you sure do know quite a few details of their lives!  I mean, I know the birthdays of my immediate family, and some of my friends, but keeping track of all their wedding anniversaries and kids' birthdays too?

I am excellent with dates.  I am basically a walking calendar.  I'm not bragging on myself, because I can back it up.

Oh, please.  We are both on the right side of the future, against gay relations.

Case in point:  My cousin, the mother of the three nephews and sister-in-law to my Pastor, has turned lesbian.  This saddens my Pastor and his wife, like you wouldn't believe.  They cry every night together crying out to God to bring her out of this destructive lifestyle and back to Himself.  I'm a little more accepting of it, but still not supportive of it.  I still pray that God would bring her out of it.

You don't watch that girl-on-girl stuff, Bushie? Some of it is really beautiful.

I do, sadly, but I feel completely awful afterwards.  I never feel good after looking at that filth.  That's precisely what it is, dirty, rotten filth.

Is girl-girl porn more sinful than girl-guy porn? Or are you just talking about porn in general?

No.  All porn is dirty, filthy, and potentially destructive.  It warps the mind and creates false expectations in a relationship.  For those who can block the warping, good for them, but most men and women are not that strong.

Gotta disagree with you there, I think it's great!

But anyway, out of curiosity, do you feel slightly less guilty when you watch heterosexual porn?

Edit: Eh, I guess you pretty much answered that.

I don't think Bushie eating bacon and eggs for lunch after whining about a bad tum tum was smart.  Unless the tum tum was an excuse not to walk.

The stomach eased up, but then turned into major stiffness and aches in the back and the joints.  I think its just weather related.  I get this way in cold, damp weather.  It is legitimate, but is nothing to be worried about it.

As for the bacon and eggs, it was either that or go get something.  We seriously don't have much in the house and have not had time to go to Walmart because of having to spend a lot of time with the family.  Mom and I are going to Walmart tomorrow after we take Grandma to eat.  Before we even go to eat, I will be walking another 20-25 minutes.  I took a break for one day from the walking trail, so I hit pause, but I definitely did not hit stop.  I've got four days left this week, so I should be able to walk all four days.  There are thunderstorm chances on Friday, so I'll have to see, but if it is dry in the morning, I'm getting out there and walking because it will be mild.

You don't have any cereal? Granola? Fruit? Nothing?

Not until tomorrow afternoon.  We haven't had a chance to get to Walmart in a few days.  I mean, we have cereal, but no milk.  The fruit we do have is old and we don't do granola.

It the fruit is bad, why don't you throw it out?

Haven't gotten around to it.

Haven't gotten around to it?  It'll take you 30 freaking seconds.

Who cares Inks?  No need to micromanage every detail of Bushie's life.

Because it shows how ridiculously lazy he is.

This is a bit off topic, but do you guys believe that marrying baby mama is the right course of action in such a circumstance?

Aborting the pregnancy would make more sense.

Do they have condoms in Oklahoma? Or are they considered sinful?

Murdering the baby never makes more sense, especially since this wasn't a rape or incest and the mom's life wasn't in any danger.

Yes, they have condoms.

Please stop with this "Oklahoma is inferior" crap.  It's getting old.

It's such a pity that census and anecdotal evidence says otherwise...

and as someone who was raised from the age of 8 in a single-parent home, I resent your earlier assumption... deeply. Continual demonstration that your sheltered world-view leaves you incapable of actually passing comment on much at all.

There are definitely exceptions to both rules, and I thought I made that clear, but in general it is better to have two parents.

Just because I have a biblical world view that my grandmother grew up with doesn't make me too sheltered and incapable of passing comment.  If I took what you said with any truth, I should just leave the forum and quit the Internet all together, because obviously I am too naive on every subject.

I am smarter than most on this forum believes.  I have a lot of knowledge about quite a few subjects and I am more than capable to pass comment.

Your point?

You're starting to cross into the self-exaltation phase.  You don't need to point out every single flaw in my life.  I'm well aware I have so many flaws, but I don't need them pointed out on an hourly basis.

Then your Pastor and his wife are both losers if they cry every night because your cousin is lesbian. There are millions of people in this world who are more deserving of those tears. I don’t have a god, but if I did I would pray for your cousin too; so that she get’s out of the ‘destructive lifestyle’ that is her family.

They are crying every night because they care more about her soul than they do about any temporary pleasure this lifestyle causes.  They love her so much that they want to get her out of the lifestyle and make sure she has her eternal future secured.  If we didn't love her, we would just let her continue on like she is.  They don't compromise the Bible even an inch even when it comes to their own flesh and blood.  They know the Bible has the Words of Life.  They are approaching her very gently and are letting God sort this all out right now.  We want to help her, but we don't want to push her away, either.

As for my thoughts, i know she is a Christian because she gave her heart to Jesus Christ a few years ago, but has since gone back.  She knows the truth, and she knows her sister, brother-in-law, mother, and me are there for her anytime she needs to talk.  I, personally, treat her lesbian lifestyle as sin, but no more sinful than anything I've done previously on this thread.  I will never endorse her lesbian lifestyle, and I, too, pray for her every night, but I will always love her for who she is and what she means to me.  If she asks me, I will tell her exactly how I feel and exactly what the Bible says, but I will not say anything unless she asks me.

Correct.  It's Granny's birthday (happy b-day, Granny) and he can't insult her by taking time to walk.

But you don’t love her for who she is. Not really, because you love your god more. Your understanding of god is one who doesn’t want gays and lesbians to be themselves and to love someone of the same gender. Other Christians would disagree. You don’t care for her soul as what happens to her soul is in the hands of your god and there is nothing you can do about it. What you care about is your own; a selfish drive to secure your own place in the afterlife by ensuring you stick to ‘the rules’ even though it’s not exactly clear what they are just in case you piss off god. So people hate on other people because they value themselves over others.

People like your Pastor probably care more for their reputation and their image than they do about an LGBT family member. So you all work together, even if you don’t think you are doing so, to subject someone to psychological abuse invoking prayer, god, rejection and self loathing. Leave her alone.

If there is a god and he works in the ways you think he does it’s you, the pastor and his wife that will be damned because you hurt someone in his name. It will be your cousin who is embraced by him.
