I do not support Taiwanese independence.  It's better for Taiwan (and the rest of the world) if it sticks by the 'one-China; two-systems' formulation, and waits for China to eventually liberalize politically as it has already done economically.  Once China has achieved a level of political liberalization compatible with Taiwan's institutions, then and only then should they be reunified in fact as well as theory.

Oh, and to answer the poll, I support the right to self-determination for the Basque region, Kurdistan, Palestine, Tibet, and Aceh.
