What if somehow Barack Obama and John McCain both chose to have bipartisan tickets in the 2008 election. Obama selects Governor Mitt Romney as his running mate and McCain selects Senator Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

Who would win? Discuss with maps.

If you wanted two bipartisan tickets, I think a more plausible combination would be Obama/Hagel vs. McCain/Lieberman. As for these tickets, I think that without Palin McCain would do well enough to pick up Indiana and Nebraska's second congressional district, but otherwise the result match OTL.

Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) / Former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) - 353 EVs
Senator John McCain (R-AZ) / Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) - 185 EVs

I think with Clinton as his running mate, McCain can take North Carolina. Otherwise, I agree with your map Cheesy

I think it would be identical to 2008. The VPs would just confuse voters because they are extreme opposites. They'd probably just vote for the President.
