Could the WA GOP be one of the worst?

They're doing okay. McKenna came dangerously close to beating Inslee last year, they got a Congressional map that shored up their two most in danger incumbents (Reichert and Beutler), and almost beat Murray and Gregoire in 2010. If Reichert, Beutler, or CMR ran against Murray in 2016 they might be able to make her sweat a bit.

They also have the only statewide GOP elected official on the West Coast, with Kim Wyman as Secretary of State.
The WA GOP has run some good candidates. The cupboard isn't bare, but they just can't win because it seems like each candidate makes the mistake of moving to the right during the summer and of course, the democrats come home in the end.

CO GOP has to be the worst.  The party literally died in that state over the past decade.
