What a stupid question.

Would you rather live in totalitarian Nazi Germany or anarchic Somalia?

I think you should be ashamed to call yourself an American if you have such little faith in our criminal justice system that you think anything less than shipping him off to Gitmo will result in simply letting him walk out the door with no consequences.

Believe it or not, plenty of American citizens kill and rape and create havoc and are suitably punished for their actions. I don't know why the courts wouldn't suitably punish this guy.

Especially since, unless it's proven that he was following the orders of some international terrorist organization or foreign government... he's basically a Timothy McVeigh or Eric Rudolph who happens to be Muslim.

And if this bombing had happened in 1983, he would be referred to as a Russian.

I'd rather see him go free and Tweed tried as an enemy combatant.

It would be very disturbing for someone arrested in the US to not have the right to a proper trial. And citizenship is irrelevant.

On a philosophical level, letting a guilty man go free is actually preferable than denying basic rights. Not on a practical level, and we "know" he's guilty, but this is something we just shouldn't start with.

Perhaps one of the times I've been most grateful that Obama, not McCain, is in the White House.

If he gets acquitted, the prosecutor should be labeled an enemy combatant.

Option 2, because I think he might still be dangerous if freed (I had to think about it though).
However, this:

Option 1. Due process is sacred.
