I agree with sbane's view on this matter, because I am not an ethnocentrist.

I don't disagree that dogs have a very special relationship to human beings. But so do cows, who give us milk and in the past tilled our land. Some cultures ate cows when other food sources were not available (cows have usually been very prized and valuable animals) and in some societies like India, eating cows became a taboo because eating cows just was not necessary for survival, unlike in more frigid or arid areas.

Some cultures also have taken to eating dogs. I guess to these cultures, this was just another use for them. I don't think we should be ethnocentric and ban the eating of dogs just because we consider it culturally unacceptable to eat them. Of course most Atlasians won't eat dogs, but if those from cultures where such behavior is allowed want to eat them, we shouldn't stop them. That would be the same as the BJP now allowing Muslims to eat cows in India. That is wrong, and most here would disagree with it would be my guess, and not allowing those from cultures that eat dogs to eat them would be wrong as well.

The National Movement "Aliya Mustafina" is not a party. Our nation is overrun with parties, all of whom make grand pronouncements and none of whom stand for a thing. This rage of party has produced nothing but a turno pacífico in which parties ostensibly opposed simply alternate in power as the parties and their party politicians deceive the people with their rhetoric all the while. It is high time that the waters of Mustafinism-Komovism clear the Augean stables of party politics.

We call for an end to the division engendered by these false party politics. We call for the union of the nation in one just cause. Something can be done to end this meaningless cycle, but it requires a radical break from the past and a commitment to forging a new beginning. No party politician in the history of this nation has done that, and no party politician ever will. It is necessary to reach beyond the parties and appeal to the whole nation. It is for this reason that we seek the Presidency of Atlasia, to bring the nation to a new dawn, to break apart all the false divisions that threaten the unity of our people. We will tolerate no more lies and perfidy; the people have had enough. Our creed is Mustafinism-Komovism, and we will not falter.

Over the years, we have been fed enticing promises of a better and brighter tomorrow, of strong leaders who will fundamentally reform the system and "break" with the past. We have seen policy wonks come and go, all of them raising optimism in each of us that they were the ones who would fix the game and restore "past greatness". Invariably, all of these grand promises of better tomorrow or leaders who would transform the game have ended in disappointment - to say the least - and the pernicious cycle of Atlasian politics has continued. Where has this led us? To a game on the verge of collapse, with record levels of inactivity and several regional governments being, for all intents and purposes, dead. What do the parties and politicians intend to do about this? Nothing. They stay mum about the issues which are relevant, preferring to entertain us with speeches about labour policy, education reform or what have you. None of those issues are matters of urgency in Atlasia today.

Where do the Mustafinists-Komovists stand? We are the only ones who are willing to address the issues which need to be addressed, the only ones who are proposing an alternative and true reforms. Others prefer to engage in trite debates about tax rates, at best, or various inanities at worse. Our promises may not be perfect, and others will disagree and criticize them. But at least we have stepped forward with a bold vision, something which is lacking in the comatose state of Atlasian party politics.

Our Promises

1. Centralism: Accept the reality. Certain - if not most - of our regions - first and foremost, the Pacific - have become inactive messes. In the incessant grubby chase for political power, our politicians and their parties, at all levels, created legislatures or new offices and allowed the number of officeholders to proliferate freely. The decadence of the governing classes, in its purest state. Today, we are left with an untenable situation. We are faced with regions which are barely active, with legislatures and various other 'offices' becoming, increasingly, empty shells; with few dedicated or interested enough in rescuing the region from the verge of collapse. Our candidate, Xahar, has admirably demonstrated his dedication to his region's salvation by taking charge of the reconstruction and reorganization of the Pacific region.

The Mustafinist-Komovists stand for centralism. Regions must be radically reformed and streamlined, if not abolished outright. If they are not reformed and streamlined adequately in the near future, several regions will collapse completely.
 
2. The Mustafinist-Komovist Revolution for Effective Governance and True Democracy: We stand for efficient governance, at the service of the public. The Mustafinist-Komovists will not engage in the bickering which has putrefied Atlasian politics, because we unambiguously reject the turno pacífico in which the parties have alternated in power, by deceiving the public with promises which they are unable or unwilling to keep.

We do not reject the importance of tackling issues such as education, taxation, social security, foreign policy, healthcare and so forth. They are issues of importance to the game, and we have positions on those issues which we will seek to develop in the near future. Furthermore, the records of both men on this ticket speaks for themselves. They have served in various cabinet positions, or have proposed important pieces of legislation on these and other issues. However, our priority is "game reform" - not the piecemeal reforms promised by every candidate in every election, or the useless tweaks which have either aggravated our situation or failed to address it in any way - but rather, a Mustafinist-Komovist Revolution. A revolution to rid ourselves of this discredited decadent elite. A revolution for a the salvation of Atlasia.

The Mustafinist-Komovists will abolish any useless federal office, first and foremost the office of Secretary of Internal Affairs (SoIA). The office of SoIA is the best example of an office created by the governing classes, with the sole intention of opening up another portfolio to hand out to friends and politicians in seek of a warm chair. Nobody put any thought in what the office could (or could not) accomplish. Since it was hatched by the politicians, the office has become a revolving door, with a succession of men - many of them with good intentions - holding the office, to no avail. It has become the best example of the decadence of the governing classes, as the SoIA is a useless and irrelevant office. It must be abolished. Other such positions, at either the federal or regional levels, must be abolished promptly.

The Mustafinist-Komovists support dual office holding as a temporary measure to limit inactivity. Officeholders should be allowed to hold one additional office, within reasonable limits (a President or cabinet member may not hold another office), either at the federal or regional level.

To accomplish the goals of the Revolution, we stand ready to work with all politicians and parties who have a genuine interest in true change and real reform, with all those who reject the status-quo and who wish to shake up the existing system. We will work with 'left' and 'right', with those who are friendly to the objectives of the Movement. Those who stay loyal to the turno pacífico, those who have crippled Atlasia must be rejected.

If you are dissatisfied with the state of Atlasian politics, if you lament the absence of true debate and bold visions for real reform or if you reject the putrid turno pacífico of Atlasian politics; join the Movement and vote Mustafinist-Komovist in June 2013. We are the only ones who are willing to bring up the issues which really matter and the only ones who propose realistic answers to those issues.

This ticket is the only one which fully supports the will of the Pacific region as expressed through its Final Constitution. We shall steadfastly defend their right to self-determination and oppose all attempts, by other regions or the federal government, to "restore order" and quash the will of the people.

Recent incidents have proven us correct. The country is stuck in the deleterious cycle of the turno pacífico, whereby all politicians - regardless of their useless parties - are united in a common front to defend the status-quo and fight any attempts at real reform. A former President has openly said that it is the Right's "turn" to "govern". They are conspiring to silence the will of the Pacific region and restore the failed status-quo.

While our two distinguished opponents have good ideas on many issues, they are both representatives of the political caste and they are opponents of real reform. They have shown either downright hostility or, at best, paid lip service to Mustafinism-Komovism.

As a result, I call on all our voters to not offer their second, third or subsequent preferences to any of the other tickets. Vote [1] Xahar/Hash, and do not waste your preferences on the defenders of the turno pacífico who will ignore you (at best) or attempt to silence you once they win.

Why vote for Xahar/Hash?

We have been clear, since day one, that this ticket unambiguously stands for real, radical reform to fundamentally transform Atlasia and destroy the established order, rid Atlasia of the gangrenous political caste and condemn the turno pacífico to history.

In the last few days, we have witnessed the ruling political caste at its finest. A former President openly said that it was the Right's "turn" to govern, which is what the Right's campaign has basically consisted of in this election. When the democratically elected legislators of the Pacific region legally passed the Final Constitution which abolished a dysfunctional and moribund regional government (whose failure symbolizes the failure of 'regionalism' in Atlasia and the decadence of the ruling caste), all forces attached to the status-quo united in a common front which condemned the legal and democratic actions of the Pacific region.

Their attachment to 'regionalism' and 'regional autonomy' is only valid insofar as it perpetuates the status-quo. If regional autonomy is used to counter the status-quo and propose a radical alternative, it is quashed and silenced. Regionalism, as professed by the Right (in particular) but also the other parties, is a scam and a fraud. We have seen this in the past few days.

The two other presidential tickets actively wish to silence the Pacific region, 'restore' the moribund and unworkable status quo ante bellum, quash the legal decision expressed by the democratically elected and legitimate representatives of the region and silence all those who dare speak out in favour of the recent actions in the Pacific. Indeed, we have seen many voices violently denounce us as "revolutionaries" or what have you. Some of them have even started voicing their support for antidemocratic, autocratic and fascistic repression (banning) of the National Movement "Aliya Mustafina".

The political caste is even worse, in fact, than we previously assumed. Not only do they have absolutely no interest in debating the real issues and proposing real reform, rather than the piecemeal bullsh**t we've been fed; they will do everything in their power to counter real reform and restore even what has been shown to be a miserable failure. They will do everything in their power to quash and silence dissent from the status-quo.
