Previously, the National Movement "Aliya Mustafina" had called for neither of the opposing candidates in the presidential election to receive preferences from party members, on the grounds that both candidates were equivalent. However, in light of disgusting candidates about rape made by prominent Federalist HagridOfTheDeep, it has become clear that a victory for the Federalist Party would be a catastrophic victory for misogyny; consequently, the Xahar/Hashemite ticket officially urges all voters to do all that is possible to defeat the Federalist Party in the ongoing federal elections, including preferencing the Labor Party candidate above the Federalist Party candidate.

That's a pretty terrible idea that's received international backlash over the last year and a bit. Kalwejt, your stance here seems awfully similar. Inactives in the Pacific could have been more prudent, but that still doesn't excuse the tyranny that these people are imposing on the region.

In other words, despite its independent rhetoric this ticket is quite mainstream and, frankly, boring. You and your supporters thought you could afford the luxury of only preferencing the two of you but as soon as it became clear that the election wasn't quite a Labor landslide and those terrible right-wingers actually had a shot at winning things changed.

STATEMENT



We are pleased with the performance of the National Movement "Aliya Mustafina" in the presidential election. Despite a vicious campaign of slander, attacks and unfounded lies leached out against us in the last few days by the most reactionary elements of the elite, our ticket won 14 (11%) first preference votes and a large number of second preference votes from supporters of other tickets. This election has shown that a large number of Atlasian citizens are dissatisfied with the current political system and the prevailing ideology of 'regionalism'; even if they are not willing to trust us with their first preference votes, a large number of voters at least partly agree with the Mustafinist-Komovists' premise.

The turno pacífico has not yet been ousted, and the ruling elite remains in place, meaning that the Mustafinist-Komovist Revolution must and will continue.



We wish the incoming President the best of luck. Between him and his Rightist rival, he was probably the most amenable to Mustafinism-Komovism and we are ready to grant his administration the benefit of the doubt when it comes to real reform. However, we are deeply concerned by the fact that the incoming Vice President is a prominent leader of the reactionary "Liberal" Party, which has been the most violent opponent of Mustafinism-Komovism and large parts of which have endorsed reactionary and anti-democratic tactics against us. We hope that President Nix' administration will steer away from the anti-democratic aims and steadfast defense of the status-quo and the turno pacífico endorsed by the so-called 'Liberal Party'.



In the next months, all Mustafinist-Komovist sympathizers must be on the alert against any attempts by the ruling elite and their reactionary elements to persecute (and perhaps ban!) our Movement, crush the will of the people by restoring the failed status-quo in the 'Pacific' and to continue paying lip service to real reform. We must unite to make our voice heard, resist anti-democratic moves and advocate for real reform which goes far beyond the usual piecemeal pablum offered to us by the political caste.

We thank both of our opponents for a hard fought campaign.

Mustafinism-Komovism is a fire which cannot and will not be extinguished, by any party or any group. Our convictions remain more vibrant than ever, and we pledge to continue the fight for the Mustafinist-Komovist Revolution.
