This is good, but Sarah Palin is no longer a politician. She's a failed TV/media personality who has no interest in participating in elective politics at this points.

I'm sure she'll hint at it, though.

Yeah, she'll probably troll us for a little bit in an attempt to stay relevant just a little bit longer, and then announce that she'll pass.

She might even do it if she thinks she needs to in order to revive her following.

Wow, Miller must be unpopular if he trails by 12 more points than Palin.

PalinWorld told NRO a couple of days ago that while she's touched by that TP group's draft effort, she has no interest.

the idea that Palin would have any interest in being a legislator is comical, especially since it would almost certainly involve a pay cut.

Lisa Murkowski says Palin isn't likely to opt in. She also says that Palin isn't "involved or engaged in the state anymore" and that she's moved to other interests.

Safe to say we can throw a Palin bid out the window.

I wonder, does Palin even live in the state anymore?

Wikipedia still lists Wasilla as her residence, though she did buy this neat little shack in Scottsdale a few years ago.

Palin staying out vastly improves the standing of.....Treadwell? Over Miller?? Huh

Holy $h&t, that's unexpected. I guess many of Palin's voters in the State are still basically GOP establshment voters?

Regardless, this would (surprisingly) make a Palin endorsement of Miller a very big deal. What's the likelihood of that happening? I know AK GOP politics are akin to cannibalism, so what's the history (if any) between her and Treadwell?

It doesn't really answer your question, but I found this article pretty informative.

http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07/18/its-not-exactly-sarah-palins-alaska/

Considering the small population and the importance of door to door/personality campaigns in Alaska, I wonder how the millions of dollars the RSCC and DSCC spend will affect the race.  From everything I've heard, the amount of money they're planning to spend in Alaska is unprecedented.  I could see a lot of people getting turned off by the negativity and voting third party.  I mean it's Alaska after all.

Anyways, from my outside view, it's hard to figure out what the Treadwell/Palin relationship is like.  In the article, Treadwell says that Governor Sean Parnell is similar to Sarah Palin, but "less of a lightning rod."  However, Treadwell voted for Lisa Murkowski in the primary and general election in 2010, and Murkowski is Palin's arch-nemesis.

Huh. So Palin's endorsing Miller is hardly inconceivable, and if this poll isn't complete garbage could actually make the difference for him. Interesting....

This is this what she should have been doing in the first place: run for the US Senate. The TV personality thing didn't work out and the VP Prez candidate thing didn't pan out either.

Agreed. But at this point Palin is too much of damaged goods to win anything let alone a Senate race.

Yeah but too damaged to win a statewide race? I think she is way too damaged win a presidential race. That time has quickly come and gone.
