How often do you check your reported post/moderated post/death point count?

With the history of volatility of the Update Thread, I tend to check my count at least 2-3 times a day.

I glance at it on the rare occasion I need to look for an old post of mine for some reason or if that doesn't come up for a month or three and somebody bumps the "moderated posts" thread to remind me.

Same. I manage to keep things PG except for a couple posts about abortion. Only got death points for making an unkind joke about Obepo.

I've only been reported once because apparently someone can't take a joke and apparently you can't even kid about calling someone an asshole (no infraction, if you're wondering). So I don't really check that much.

Does it matter? Death points aren't really used anymore. Plenty of mods have openly said they've quit with them, as they only create drama and don't really accomplish anything productive.

They're extremely useful for putting sock/spam accounts on mod review before Nym gets around to imposing a ban.  But yeah, that is their main purpose nowadays.

They're extremely useful for putting sock/spam accounts on mod review before Nym gets around to imposing a ban.  But yeah, that is their main purpose nowadays.

Yep, I'm down to just 3. The lowest I've ever been since they were implemented.

I actually check them multiple times a day, but that's because I usually check if I have any replies by clicking on my profile, then checking my recent posts.

almost never.  i rarely get any infractions.  i got infraction 'points' the other day for responding to a member's request for opinions.  i guess he only wanted good opinions?

100 for 1 month ban

i.e. for you to reach any consequences of the infraction system you either have to be an idiot or actively trying to get banned

(but don't think you can game the system because when we see the signs of gaming the system you're pretty much automatically put on double secret probation and your name on The Watchlist gets circled)
