HE called me on the phone around noon and he said he won't be posting at the forum any more because his internet doesn't work anymore but he asked to to ask you guys if I can vote for him over the weekend.

Was that all one sentence?  Anyway please let the poor soul vote.

By vote for him, I mean, can I cast my vote for him, like he asked me to.

That was one sentence worthy of John himself.

Well, my personal opinion is that I don't support allowing someone to cast a ballot for someone else.

If he wants to call King (who is administering the elections) and inform him of who he wants to vote for as an absentee ballot, I'd be fine with that; absentee ballots shouldn't necessarily have to be transmitted electronically. If he's not going to be posting anymore, I'm curious as to why he still is interested in voting.

Isn't Tweed 14 which would mean he should have been at school at noon?

I agree with Nym on this situation.

Boss:  If you could record the conversation with John actually saying who he casts his ballot for, that will be an acceptable vote.  I will not accept John's vote unless it is really coming from John himself.

I believe there was snow in the north, may have been enough for some to get off of school.

I think I can dig that up.  Give me your number and I'll ring you and play it for you.

That's because most Democrats don't believe in the sanctity of the Presidency, that's why they nominate people like Michael Dukakis and John Kerry for the office...

So this means John Engle has literally talked to you or you got Boss Tweed's message, I assume.  I guess the vote legally counts then.

Also King, I hope you will put this on the absentee ballot thread, just so none of us get confused come Friday or Saturday in the counting (if there's a large John/Boss Tweed protest vote or something).

I think he is accusing Boss Tweed of fraud, but I'm not sure.
