1. How racist are the Boers anyway who are leading the secession?
2. In this hypothetical situation, are the Boers resisting the current South African government, a nicer, friendlier government, or a Mugabe-type thugocracy that doesn't like whitey?

If the answers to one or the other are...
1. Not especially
2. Mugabe-type thugocracy or worse
... then i'd say 'yes'.  else  'no'.

I voted yes but I already do support white self-rule, so it's not "would."

Of course, an increasing number of blacks support a return to Apartheid, since of course they are fully aware of their own inability to run a modern state.

They wouldnt be particulary repressive.

and the Mbeki government if far from being benevolent, at least to whites.

It is to debate the sececionist feeling among the boers. Do I have to give a justification for every thread i Start from now on?

No, but considering two people motioned for the deletion of this thread, I have to follow it up on some level.

Yes.  And here's why:

- The blacks are murdering each other.  And the whites.  And the farmers.  And everyone.

- A country that was 9 months from launching its own satellite is now years from the space age.  The country is falling apart.

- Many white people just want to live alone and in peace.  Is that too much to ask?

That quote is dripping with political un-correctness and outright racism, but you gotta admit that it is true.  We've gone from a stable, firstish world country to a country run by a bunch of former rebals.

I think it was early last year, when they almost did revolt, but the government ended up appeasing them. The question is how long are they going to be like that.
My prediction is that shortly after Mandela dies, the black will start killing whites in the cities, with the blessing of the ANC. Then, as a retaliatory movement, the Free State, the North West, the Northern province, and maybe Mpumalanga, with the time extended to Gauteng, will witness the revolt of the boers, leading to the resurgement of the Orange Free State.
