How did the Dominican American subgroup of Hispanics vote in 2012? They are concentrated mostly around northeastern NJ.

Not quite. A touch further east than that.

States with over 5k Dominican population
675k New York
198k New Jersey
172k Florida
103k Massachusetts
68k Puerto Rico (yes, they have immigrants there too!)
62k Pennsylvania
35k Rhode Island
26k Connecticut
15k Georgia
15k Maryland
15k North Carolina
13k Texas
11k California
11k Virginia
6k Illinois
6k Ohio
5k Michigan

Counties over 10k Dominican population (though I didn't check the 10-15k states' counties)
Bronx NY 241k
New York NY 156k
Queens NY 88k
Kings NY 87k
Dade FL 58k
Essex MA 54k
Passaic NJ 47k
Hudson NJ 41k
San Juan PR 36k
Providence RI 34k
Broward FL 28k
Middlesex NJ 27k
Westchester NY 27k
Suffolk MA 27k
Bergen NJ 25k
Suffolk NY 22k
Nassau NY 20k
Orange FL 20k
Essex NJ 19k
Philadelphia PA 16k
Hillsborough FL 13k
Union NJ 12k
Berks PA 11k
Lehigh PA 11k
Osceola FL 10k
Palm Beach FL 10k

Yeah, I didn't check rural PA either (and could easily have missed Lehigh). Nor PR municipos outside of San Juan. Fairfield CT is just under 10k.
So a super-massive concentration in New York City (that spills over into Northeast New Jersey more than in other directions) and a few more, also quite concentrated, populations in and around Miami, Orlando, northeast Massachusetts, Providence, Philly, Reading, Lehigh County, Tampa.
