What's up, folks!  Update VIII is now underway.  Since the "seasons" tend to last about 4-5 weeks, this one will likely be centered around Kenya.  Thus, my Season Title - "Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh my!"  There are no bears in Kenya, from what I have heard, but the other two definitely apply!

Today, on the agenda, I need to go to the State Health Department and get some malaria medicine this morning and then get ready for the wedding rehearsal this afternoon.

Bride is not pregnant, she is already a mother, but she is not currently pregnant, so the answer is null.

Oh, and BK, rating my headaches help me relate how bad it is.  For me, there are workable migraines and unworkable migraines.  The past 11, now 12 days, I have had workable migraines meaning I can still function somewhat.  If some wants to call them just severe headaches, that's a matter of opinion.  I have had headaches for over 20 years, so I know what a migraine for me feels like.  An unworkable migraine is rating 9.5-10.0.  A workable migraine is 8.0-9.5.  A severe headache is 7.0-8.0.  A moderate headache is 5.0-7.0.  A mild headache is 3.0-5.0.  A negligible headache is 0.0-3.0.  I never get below a 2.0.  Not everyone uses the scale, but it just helps me relate my headaches to others.

Woohoo!  Since roughly May 10, I have lost 7.2 pounds!  I have gone from a high of 275.0 down to a current weight of 267.8.  Other than these darn headaches, I am starting to feel better, too!  This weight loss is largely without major exercise, too.  If I can get into exercising, I'll be doing even better.  I have a modest goal of 1 pound a week.  Nothing too elaborate, but still consistent.

Actually, before I leave, I'm going to scramble me a couple eggs and then I should be home in time to have a couple ham sandwiches.  This evening, I'm going to eat light, maybe a couple more sandwiches.  If I do have fast food, it will be Subway.  I don't have any desire for McDonald's or Braum's today.

It is just after 1430 and I will be starting my evening in about 20-25 minutes.  I was going to go out to the State Health Department and get my anti-malarial medicine, but my friend who is a nurse and is also going asked her doctor that she works with to send a prescription of Malerone to a local pharmacy a little closer to me.  It will cost me $60 for 10 pills, but it will be worth it not getting Malaria.

I should be back to the church by 1600 and will start setting up for the wedding tomorrow night and then rehearsal will be at 1700.  I should be able to go to Bible Study at my Pastor Cousin's house while the family and the bridal party finish setting everything up.  I'll come back by the church on way home and lock everything up for the night.  I should be home by 2030 or 2100.

Since the ceremony is at 1800 tomorrow, I will open the church up at 1400 to allow everyone to come in and get ready without rushing.  I'll be home by 2300 tomorrow night after things are all cleaned up and put back ready for Sunday Morning Worship.

Did they invite you to the reception and what is wrong with your pastor cousin that they would choose a lay minister over a pro?

They did invite me to the reception.  There is nothing wrong with my pastor cousin.  I've known the bride since she was a baby and she asked me Wednesday night if I would marry them.  I know most of her family, as well, sister, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  During the reception time, though, especially toward the end, I'll be shifting my focus toward clean up and preparation for Sunday Morning Worship.  The reception will start at 1900 and I'm going to ask them tonight to start cleaning up about 2100 as we'll need to get home and get to bed.  I want to be home by 2300, so I can get to bed by 0000.

Have you actually gone before the deacons or elders of the church, preached in front of the deacons and other ordained staff at the church, preached to the congregation, been voted on by the congregation, and taken your license down to the court clerk for formalization?

I'm not saying that's how it has to be done, as that's the Southern Baptist procedures, but what I'm saying is I have actually gone through the required process to become an official minister.

I did go to McDonald's because there was literally no time for anything else.  No time to cook an honest meal.  I had to eat in a hurry, too, really, because I had to be at the church by 1630 and it was already pushing 1600.  I had a very busy evening and just got home 10 minutes ago.  So, this was one of those instances that a McDonald's trip was justified.  I said I would go to Subway, but there were none that were really convenient for time.  Plus, if I had not gone to McDonald's, I would not have been able to see my friends who are moving to Spokane, Washington in July.

Even while being unemployed, I still have a life, and I still get busy.  I did nothing wrong today.  I ate before I started a busy evening.

What did you have today at McDonald's? I wish you had a free doughnut! Mine was delicious.

Since it was my only meal, I had at it.  I had a Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese w/o Onion, Medium Fries, and a Large Diet Dr. Pepper.  I say that was my only meal, I had about 300 calories before that with a bowl of cereal, but the McDonald's was the big show.  I still ended the day with 1400 calories according myfitnesspal.

But it's okay. I've given up on your dietary habits. I'm hoping you'll find a lady soon so you can ignore my advice there too. I'm a sucker for punishment.

I'll probably still drop a little weight in the morning because of the calorie deficit.  Myfitnesspal said that for me to lose 1 pound a week, I need to eat 2200 calories.  I only had 2/3 of that.  I know its not just the calories, but I told her on facebook that I do good just focusing on one measurement at first.   Yeah, I shouldn't have had the Double Quarter, but I really didn't have time to do much more than that.

Well, let's see, I left the house at 1500 this afternoon.  If I had fixed anything before then, it would have basically been a late lunch.  I have only had dinner one time before 1500 and that was because of tornadic activity that evening.  If I had eaten at 1400 or 1430, I would have been starving by this time.  As it is, I'm pretty hungry, and I'm trying my hardest not to get a snack this late at night.

I will be the first to tell you I make tons of mistakes.  All I know is that I am completely forgiven of EVERY SINGLE MISTAKE I have made or will ever make.  That's all I need to know.

I know you're not superior to me, and I know you've never said that, but it seems awfully like you think yourself better than me based on every time you point out every little flaw and never mention any of your own.

So why didn't you grab Subway or make a salad after church?  You act like your eating habits have to be within a certain timeframe or the world will end.  There are days where I'll go until late at night without eating, and I've survived.  I'm sure you will to.

You completely glossed over my point - why were you bringing up your religious credentials with drj101?  What was the point of that?

I don't know why I didn't go to Subway.  Do I have to have a reason for everything?  I don't like salad.  I don't like to eat after a certain time each evening so the food doesn't get stored in my body overnight and turn into fat.  I have eaten real late at night, and I have never felt good the next morning because of it.

Grumps asked if I was actually legally able to officiate weddings.  Drj brought up his credentials and I took it as a mocking of my credentials.  I probably took it the wrong way, but I brought up my credentials and how I got those credentials.  I was really trying to answer both Grumps and Drj in that post.

And once again, you act like it's a humorous situation.  You're still entrenched in your bad habits and perpetual lying, yet you find it humorous.  And THAT is the reason that you need mental help.  You don't even see that there's anything wrong, and that is the problem.

Again, psychiatrists are super expensive.  I don't have insurance.  Therefore I do not have the money to see anybody.  Even if I never took a dime from my parents, we still don't have enough money to fund a useless psychiatrist.  Plus, I don't need to see one.

About the humor, am I wrong for trying to find humor in every situation I can?  I am a humorous guy.  I don't take myself very seriously, which is one of my strengths, so I am able to laugh at myself.

You don't have to have a reason for everything, but what's the point of the Update if you're just going to lie over and over again?  And come on... you're going to have a lot less fat from eating late night Subway than from eating dinner time McDonald's.

Subway was not on the route I took today.  I didn't feel like going out of my way, either, and nor did I have time.  Plus, like I said, I would have missed the rendezvous with my dear friends.  That alone made McDonald's the correct decision.  It's not always about physical health.  It's about spiritual, emotional, and mental health, too.  If given the choice between seeing friends or eating healthy, I will choose friends and family EVERY time, bar none.  Relationships and friendships are more important than physical health, IMO.

My friends are moving thousands of miles away to Spokane, Washington and it is very likely I would have never been able to see them again.  I don't go to Spokane.  I have no business there (although, that may change with two sets of friends in Spokane).  My friends are much more important than myself.
