As much as I wouldn't want it to be normal, I can't see any reason for it to be illegal, no. The human body is nothing to be ashamed of displaying, and prudery doesn't serve any real purpose as far as Ican tell. Public sex, however, is an interesting debate.

Yes, I think it would be covered under free speech.

In designated areas, yes. And women should be allowed to go topless anywhere men are allowed to go topless.

Yes, but I think that is a 10th Amendment issue.

Yes, in fact they should make public nudity mandatory one day a month.  The obesity rate would plummet.

Only in private places what can't be seen from the street or someone else's private property.  This type of thing may work in Sweden but Americans are way to fat for this not to be continuously nauseating.  And what if someone has diarrhea?  Do they get to sit on park benches and bus seats?!

Traffic certainly wouldn't be as bad.

I'd be worried about the blindness rate skyrocketing before the obesity rate drops.

Yes. Everywhere for topless women and in most places full nudity should be allowed with the exception of areas where sanitary issues would come up.

I understand some people not wanting to see it (particularly for the obese, etc.), but I don't think that's a good case for it being illegal. Plenty of things that are social taboos aren't illegal. Aside from the aforementioned sanitary issues, public nudity isn't objectively harmful. Even for the children, they are far more harmed by bullying, not having health care, hunger, exposure to violence and hate, than by nudity (esp. taken into the case that few people would be nude in public anyway).

It's all academic to me. In my part of the world public nudity can be an issue for like 3 weeks out of the year at best Tongue

I thought you of all people would be in favor of cougars, or are you only a fan of felines when they are nekomimi?

I have slept with women for whom I am below the lower edge of their /2+7 (only barely though), but my original question was referring to the OP of the post you quoted (i.e. not DC Al Fine).

Only in the event that it would provoke national action on the obesity crisis caused by seeing nude sweaty fat people walking around.

Too embarrasing to be fat if you had to show it all once a month.

These debates are classic arguments of negative vs positive rights. In this case, the right to be nude in public (freedom of expression, etc) and the right of the public at large to leave their home free from the uncertainty of being blindsided by a nude Glad bag filled with oatmeal claiming first amendment rights. I'm inclined to side with the latter on the grounds of social contract and collective interests.

Furthermore, we already have designated areas in which public nudity is allowed -- namely naturist resorts and strip clubs. Why does nudity as a right be extended to all public places? What benefit would this bring?

Option 2, but there seems to be no good reason not to defer to the states on this one.
