This is the same bill that we voted on last time, which I introduced to make sure that no one, in a super rich region and country like our own has to sleep outside.

I am however very willing to hear amendments from Governor Scott and Representatives Sirnick and Goldwater.

I still think this bill is much too short and in need of elaboration.  To start, I think the bill should specify how an individual demonstrates that they are "in need."  We also need an agency or department to implement this law and prevent abuse.

Also, I think the Department of Urban Development would be the most appropriate overseer.

I'm willing to be flexible on the exact numbers, but I think we need income requirements to avoid giving housing to people who can easily afford to live in non subsidized housing.

I think this is a good start.  While the legislation may not be the silver bullet to our region's poverty problem, I plan to sign it in its present form.
