If anyone wants to be Harkin, let me know.  Also, I will find someone else to play Bush if Oldies doesn't post soon.

Did we seriously let Oldies be Bush? Didn't we learn from him as McCain in the 2008 game?

Do we really need an announcement speech from him? I mean, he is a "victorious" President, it's not like he would refuse a second term.

Incumbent presidents running for a second term normally make announcement speeches, however, or at the very least a statement of their intention to do so.

Sorry, Superique, but you need to choose someone already on the list if you're interested, now.

I'm going to give Oldies another day or two to do something; otherwise, his spot will be open again.

Really? This is pretty boring.

OK, I'm going to be the bad guy and ask...

How realistic is it for Bill Clinton to withdraw from the primary due to his wife being in a car accident (and likely passing away), then turn around a week later and start campaigning for Gore? An endorsement? Sure. But to start traveling the nation right after a car accident that forced you from the race seems a bit much.

Granted, Tsongas jumping on the campaign trail right after withdrawing for no apparent reason seems a bit sketchy, but at least I'm trying to slowly step into it. Tongue

I have a question, what will happen with the debates? I was looking forward to the one Brown proposed, but apparently there was one scheduled for October, right?

Candidates are free to propose their own debates, but some will be scheduled, as was the one from October.

If anyone else is interested in running as a Democrat in this election, you have until next Monday to declare.

Yes.
But wouldn't his entrance effectively end the primaries. He's the last VP Candidate. It's more competitive without the big guns of Cuomo, Kennedy, and Bentsen.

Not necessarily, no.

That is bad news anyway. I always wanted to go with Bentsen but I'll be fair here and I will not go as him. Unless everyone allow me to do so =P
