Whats your opinion of children? Freedom creatures or horrible creatures?
I tend to find the little brats annoying most of the time. But I suppose you cant really be against children.

My answer varies by whether or not I'm pissed at my daughter.....even though she's full grown.

What kind of poll is this anyway?

I care about children, although I don't really fawn over them and am bothered by some of the things they do (or rather, some of the things adults do to entertain them), but I would still say FC.

Oh I love children, oh yes I do. Boiled, broiled, or in a stew.

Seriously though, they're amusing for 30 minutes at best and then I'd rather not be around them.

Um... some are good, some are bad? There are literally hundreds of millions of them.

Quite necessary to the survival of civilization, and something we all were at one point. Having been one myself, I'm a bit biased. I'll go with freedom creatures. I imagine being a father myself one day, handing down important life lessons to my sons.

Definitely mixed, but FC overall. Teens 10-14 are the worst, though.

My daughter is certainly a "freedom child". Most kids her age are fairly blank slates, except for the whole "terrible 2s" thing. Luckily Jennifer's not that bad.

Coddled a bit too much.  Like those fascist yellow buses with those red stop signs that fold out every time they stop, even if there is CLEARLY room to move around.  Observe.

What this crap?  I get it, the powers that be don't want us to, "mow down the children with our vehicles" in the interest of "safety", but I say you run the little bastards over and give 'em a dose of reality!

This.

I have problems with the children of adults I do not like.

The worst reflection on someone's character possible is when they have unruly children.

Yes, so me and kids get along great!  I really don't understand people who don't like kids.  You people need to have a more refined appreciation for silliness.

I don't like to hold newborns, I am really afraid I will drop them or something like that. Plus they really don’t do or say anything cute/entertaining/funny. Little children aged eighteen months to five I am fine with. I especially love getting to see my baby cousin, who is about twenty months old at this point. After age six children get rather annoying. The seven year old neighbor boy comes by and hangs out with my brother all the time is a perfect example.

Difficult at best up to about 10 or 11 (2-5 nearly unbearable), and after that really hit or miss - you never know. I can certainly imagine kids I would love to have a hand in raising, and others who would keep me up at night with nightmares; probably most in between somewhere. So meh. I never wanted any enough to have them and have been perfectly happy as one of those selfish types with tons of interests, projects, hobbies, etc.

Usually, a very good substitute for pork.
But now I've got nephews, I've found a much better use for them: to teach how to curse, break their toys and imitate Gene Simmons.

My nephew told my sister the other day

"mom... God got in a fight with his brother Jonos and the angels were crying which helped the plants grow but now there's gonna be a tornado AND a flood" and with a dead serious look on his face "and not even God can save us".

Where'd he hear that?  Why, he made it up of course.

Also, Jesus was married to Mary.  And when she explained that Mary was his mother... rather than being like "oh, so they weren't married".. his response was "yuck you can't marry your mom!"

7 year old logic is the best logic.

The problem with kids is usually their parents.
