I don't think many people read the Bible, or even one of its many books, straight through. Instead, they go to cherry picked verses or chapters as instructed by an authority figure. I average fewer than a book a month, but I do usually read a few per year.

I try to read a book a month. Usually I end up reading 13-15 in a year though.

0.3.

Shows like Honey Boo Boo and Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives are a much better use of my time.

I read the Bible straight through every year from Genesis to Revelation as well as read cherry-picked passages.  I rarely will read just one verse, though.  I have also started reading another Christian book on the side called "Total Church" by Steve Timmis.  I should be finished with that book within the next two weeks and will move on to a book called "Christian America?".  That should take me about 4-6 weeks and then it will be "Normal Christianity" sometime in September.

Counting the Bible as one book, I voted 1-3, with a more defined answer of 2.

Don't keep track of the amount of time it takes me to get through books. Some can be knocked down easily while others take work. Got some stuff to renew on the 15th.

Actually since I've never actually read straight through any Bible book, I've started reading through the whole Bible this summer in order of rough theological importance (thus starting with Gospel of John and Paul's Epistle to the Romans)

Since I'm reading mostly juvenile literature (a Turtledove and some of Horowitz's stuff) I'm averaging at 4 books or so I think.

Depends on the time of the year.  Like now, one or none, but during school year, I think probably 8 or 9 in a good month.

I try to keep at a rate of one weekly, but if it's fiction it can be a bit more, and if it's essays it can be a bit less. Around 3 monthly therefore.

I don't read books; I burn them

I voted 1-3, though it really depends. I get on reading kicks every once in a while when I find the right book, usually over the summer. But most of the time, I re-read Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter repeatedly. Other things can get added to the repertoire occasionally
