Of course. There's always the story I keep telling people about how the NDP won the sign war in Ottawa Centre last provincial election 10-1. (private property no less) And we all know how that turned out! One poll I canvassed had a 10:1 NDP-Liberal sign ratio, and we ended up winning the poll by 2 votes

It's counterproductive to speculate based on signs. In Halifax West, we lost all the polls we won the sign war in, but won several where we barely had any signs
