Henry Clay dodges the question of slavery

While the Third American Revolutionary War is underway, and will be the issue almost every American votes on this November, Henry Clay (a Protectionist Icon) dodged the question of slavery. Abolitionists are one of the fastest growing groups in this country, due to the rebirth of religion in the 2nd Great Awakening, and this could seriously harm his campaign in the North, where the issue is viewed as more pressing. He is urged to give his true opinion by the American Press.

OOC: Can we get preliminary primary maps and general election maps? And a primary schedule for the Protectionists would be helpful for them I'm sure. Smiley
There's no actual primaries, as this is prior to widespread democracy, so all the Protectionist voting will be in June 1832. I'll get you the maps. Smiley

American soldiers win in Battle of the Bahamas

Over the last few weeks, American soldiers in the South launched a surprise attack on the British colony of the Bahamas. While getting ashore cost many lives, the colonial government has issued a surrender and American morale has seen a slight boost. Whether this will affect the war in other areas remains to be seen. President Randolph however, is seeing further party unity in his quest for reelection in the South while the North still remains indifferent.

I think Bmotley got banned for 6 months, so I could withdraw as Daniel Webster and re-start as Andrew Jackson.

That'd work perfectly! Smiley

I'm bumping this game, to give y'all a few more hours. Also, there's a new player who has expressed interest and I'd be open to having join.

PRESIDENT RANDOLPH SHOT!

There has been another casualty in the Third American Revolutionary War this week as President Randolph was gunned down while taking a walk through the streets of Washington D.C. This has created a great rise in sympathy for the fallen leader and has given the American troops in Bermuda extra motivation as they push deeper into the British Colony. France, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, and Prussia have all sent their condolences.
