As for school breakfasts, the reason we have them is for low income students, but if others want to eat at school they're welcome to. If not for low income students though there probably wouldn't be a program for it. What are your thoughts on entrepreneurial schools though? We already do something similar with Vo-Tech. I agree there's a lot of standardized tests. One is probably federal and one is probably state. There might be local ones too in your state. As for making standards clear, I'm not saying one size fits all by any means. I'm saying at all levels the standards and expectations must be known and addressed at the beginning of each school year. It may have sounded like I was advocating a one size fits all method. When it comes to teachers, they shouldn't have life long careers if they aren't teaching their students well.
