Okay folks, here is the drill, in order to cut the spending needed for my tax plan, we need to figure what benign government programs we can cut spending from that will be the spending cuts needed to pass the plan.

Any suggestions?

It's your tax plan; why can't you do it?

Why do you want to cut benign programs?  And shouldn't you be the one deciding which programs to cut, since you are the Senator proposing it?

We are you cutting benign programs? We need benign programs. We need more benign programs.

And Naso look here to see the actual meaning of benign: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=benign

By the look of this he's never bothered to look at how the Senate does things and as a result doesn't have a clue how to do the job he legally stole from someone who did know what he was doing.

My guess is that his woeful ignorance will be funny for about a day.

Also, Naso, I don't swear you in as Senator still Friday, so you can't do anything yet.

In general, I oppose the cutting of beneficial, useful programs. However, reducing the expenditures of large programs (IrishDem's Legislation from back in the day) may be fine. Specific examples are needed, which is the job of the Senator proposing the cuts...

As I said before, if you want to cut taxes, why can't you figure out how to fit it in?

The point of proposing legislation is not to declare a vague goal and then have the other senators work out the actual details.  At least you could outline what you plan to cut.

Forgive me, but the entire senate does not revolve around a single senator, Naso.  Especially senators who gain election through bombarding inactive posters with e-mails and PM's, two of which now say they regret voting for such a senator.

Cosmo Kramer, as future Sec. of the Treasury, and I have talked about trying to introduce an actual federal budget for Atlasia next term (at least in somewhat general terms).

If there are specific programs that you would like to see some cuts enacted in, please let the Senate know.

Otherwise, please wait until you're a Senator or until a budget is introduced before you try to propose your unconstitutional tax cuts.

Mike: all you ever do is insult people. Here's an example: you have repeatedly and falsely claimed that I am a member of the KKK.

Know what Mike? That sort of thing upsets people.

Al, I've read your posts.  You basically worship on the altar of Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, former Grand Master of the KKK and the only man left in the Senate who voted against the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.

Naso may well be an idiot, but he is quite correct in his statements there.

Worship on an altar? I never knew I did that. I happen to respect the guy for his work on economic development, not for him being a member of the KKK in the '40's (this is getting off topic though).

Except for the fact that I'm not a member of the KKK, have never been a member of the KKK, will never be a member of the KKK and happen to be pretty insulted at being described as a member of the KKK?

Don't you mean cut wasteful programs?  If that is the case, then I already started a proposal for that.

Thank you Sam. It should be the first priority of the new Senate to pass new budget legislation. We have gone for many months without a functioning budget. We should first pass a Senate Resolution stating how often a budget has to be proposed then we should work on a budget that will actually not get voted down by the Senate.

I believe I sent Gabu something on the budget a few weeks back.  Gabu?
