About 15 months from September 2005-December 2006 for Primerica.  I sold a couple policies, but they were 3 hour drives away.  One policy flew back in my face because it was canceled and I had to pay for it.  It was a form of a MLM, and I couldn't get recruits.

Actually, the first MLM came in February 2005 with the first Kirby attempt.  It started On Wednesday and ended the next Monday.  You're right I did not learn my lesson after the first attempt, the second attempt, the third...  That's another reason I'm going to school is to get out of that trap, as well, by getting a stable, sane job that is neither MLM or call center.

The news about Chesapeake Energy hiring more Metro Tech graduates than colleges or universities is very encouraging.  I know for a fact now this endeavor is not in vain and gives me the drive to keep going.  I should finish LAP 6 and start LAP 7 today.

The thought of Bushie selling life insurance gives me the chills.  In my experience, even pretty good agents really don't know the technical aspects (if it is whole life insurance, or single premium annuity insurance, as opposed to term insurance), and most fold under my withering array of questions. I wonder why he abandoned hawking policies however. Probably because he was unable to sell much. Which is probably a good thing. And then he talks about energy companies. What does that have to do with CAD?

He only sold policies to his parents and granny.......then mayyyyyyyyyybe a church friend or two.  Those are the ones who are his first sales for Ameriscam and all of his other MLM adventures.

It sounds like his first job was one like Ameriscam - a life insurance MLM company. In fact, it seems like he's worked exclusively for MLM's until he landed that job at ONG. No wonder he gravitated back towards them after left them.
