Purple Strategies poll of Virginia:

Clinton 42%
Christie 40%

Clinton 48%
Paul 41%

fav/unfav %:

Clinton 53/40% for +13%
Christie 39/27% for +12%
Paul 30/41% for -11%

Among Democrats:
Clinton 93/5% for +88%

Among Republicans:
Paul 38/20% for +18%
Christie 31/26% for +5%

Among Independents:
Christie 43/27% for +16%
Paul 40/34% for +6%
Clinton 45/47% for -2%

Christie's also +11% among Democrats, and +17% among women.  Nonetheless, women love Clinton much more than Christie, and there's an enormous gender gap in the Christie-Clinton matchup.  Christie beats her among men by 14 points, and Clinton beats him among women by 16 points.

It's going to be a tight race again. We may see it match the national average for a third time in a row. With the trends it should barely be to the left. However, Obama was a phenomenal candidate for VA and won the election. We may see it be less than a point to the right of the national average and then continue trending to the left for another decade.
